FROM NORTH: Take the A1 Milano-Napoli highway in direction Napoli, then the A3 Napoli-Salerno (NA-SA) highway in the Salerno direction, and exit at the Castellamare di Stabia exit.
FROM EAST: Take the A16 Bari-Napoli highway in direction Napoli, then the A3 Napoli-Salerno (NA-SA) highway in the Salerno direction, and exit at the Castellamare di Stabia exit.
FROM SOUTH: Take the A3 Reggio Calabria-Salerno-Napoli highway in direction Napoli, and exit at the Castellamare di Stabia exit.
From the Castellamare di Stabia exit of the A3 highway, follow directions for Penisola Sorrentina and Sorrento. This puts you on the SS145 route which leads for about 23 kms through the towns of Vico Equense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento and S.Agnello and into Sorrento. Once in Sorrento, watch the large white signs that show the direction to follow for hotels, following those that indicate the Grand Hotel President.
The nearest airport to Sorrento is Naples Capodichino International airport, located about 50 kms away.
Bus service regularly runs between Capodichino Airport and the centre of Sorrento.
Tickets cost about €10 per passenger and can be purchased directly on board. Buses depart from the airport towards Sorrento at 06:30, 08:30, 10:30, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:30.
From Sorrento, buses depart towards the airport at 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:30, 16:30 and 19:30. Under average traffic conditions, the trip lasts under an hour and a half.

From Naples’ main train station, Napoli Centrale - Piazza Garibaldi, local trains called “Circumvesuviana” depart for Sorrento approximately every 30 minutes between 5am and 10:30pm.
The trip lasts about an hour and no reservations are necessary.
Sorrento’s train station is in the town centre across from Piazza Angelina Lauro, which is a short walk from the main square, Piazza Tasso
Sorrento can be reached in about 30 minutes by fast hydrofoil from Beverello Port in Naples, or 20 minutes from the port of Capri.
From April through October, hydrofoils also connect Sorrento directly with the island of Ischia as well as the Amalfi Coast towns of Positano and Amalfi.
The port of Sorrento is located 500 meters from the Piazza Tasso, the town’s main square, which can be easily reached by shuttle bus service.
